Text messaging (SMS)
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers, SMS consent or text-messaging opt-in data with any third party, affiliate or lead generator for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all sharing described anywhere else in this policy.
If you call a phone number we operate (our demo line, or a line we run for a business customer) and the call is not answered, you may receive a text message about that call. To do that we process your phone number, the time of the call, and the content of any text messages you send or receive. We use this only to reply to your call, to honor STOP and HELP requests, and to keep the records phone carriers require. The only other company that handles it is our messaging provider (Twilio), which delivers the messages on our behalf. When we run a line for a business customer, the messages you exchange about your call are shared with that business so it can respond to you — that is the purpose of the call you placed. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts; reply HELP for help. See our SMS Terms.
What we collect
- Business contact information about businesses we may contact by email: business name, city, business phone, website, and a business email address only when the business publishes it on its own website or it appears in a public government record. We get this from public government licensing records and businesses’ own websites.
- Information customers give us when they buy and set up a service: name, business details, email, and the answers in our setup form (collected through Tally).
- Payment information, handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Email correspondence, including replies and unsubscribe requests.
- Page-view records for sample pages: which page, the date, and whether the request looked automated. No cookies, no IP address, no browser fingerprint, and no third-party analytics.
- Phone and text records as described under Text messaging above.
How we use it
- To contact businesses about services relevant to their trade, and to stop contacting anyone who asks.
- To deliver, bill for and support the services customers buy.
- To answer missed calls by text and handle opt-outs.
- To meet legal, tax and carrier requirements.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that run parts of our service for us, under their own privacy and security terms: Google Workspace (email), Smartlead (email sending), Stripe (payments), Tally (forms), Netlify (website hosting), GitHub (private storage of customer configuration), Twilio (calls and text messages), Meta (to publish posts to a customer's own Facebook Page, when the customer connects it) and Anthropic (whose AI assistant, Claude, helps us prepare outreach and do customer work). We may also disclose information if the law requires it. SMS opt-in data is never shared for marketing, as stated above.
How long we keep it
We keep customer records for as long as you are a customer and afterward as long as tax law requires. If you ask us not to email you, we keep your email address and domain on a do-not-contact list permanently — that list is how we make sure we never email you again. Text-message records are kept as long as needed to honor opt-outs and carrier requirements.
Your choices
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or reply “stop.” We honor it right away.
- Text: reply STOP.
- Access or deletion: email hello@midwestmadeconsult.com and we will tell you what we hold and delete what we are not required to keep.
Security
Access to our systems is limited to the owner and protected by two-factor authentication. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we collect as little as we can to limit what could ever be exposed.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
